Girl, Don't Nobody Want 'Yo Man... Well, Maybe They Do But I Sure As Hell Don't!

==========
Today, August 29th, 2007 is officially Ladies Day here at Adam's Web Log. All of my posts today will have a unifying theme of interest toward the fairer sex.
Enjoy.

This is something I feel so strongly about. I usually try to beat anybody over the head with my opinion here. But on this matter, it is what it is. I HATE IT!

The biggest rift between gay men and straight women especially in the black gay community is, straight men. Unfortunately a lot of black women think that every man, woman, boy, girl, cat, dog, squirrel, bird, rabbit, snake, platypus, praying mantis, frog, and koala bear wants their man. Any smart person would see that homegirl's (let's call her Keisha) problem stems more from her own insecurity than all mankind's wanton lust for her man. Now due to the advent of "DL" (remind me to impale the person who made that shyt up) as a buzz phrase used by the media and now ingrained into the mainstream American consciousness we as gay men are being vilified the most.

And you know what Keisha, to some extent you may be right. I'm sure there are some faggots out here who do want your man and will get close to you to in an effort to steal him from you. But homegirl, I certainly ain't one of them. I'm gay, unequivocally and unapologetically. I know what I am. I like other gay men, not bi (ain't nothing  wrong with a bisexual man, I'd just never date one), not questioning, not deciding, not unsure, but gay.

I don't understand why these faggots that think pulling a quote-unquote "straight" man is some type of accomplishment anyway. I think it's absolutely disgusting! I had a friend who was dating a guy with a girlfriend once. His ass shoulda never told me that. I wore him out about that shyt every day until he broke it off. What the gay person in this type of situation doesn't realize is that what he's doing is not only emotionally toxic to himself but it is helping to bring us all down as gay males. And I'll be damned if I have these faggots making me look bad! Every time a woman catches her man in bed with another man she tells another woman and another woman and another woman and you know how women talk (I'm sorry I had to, it was too easy). Next thing you know I got Keisha rolling her eyes at me on the bus for no apparent reason.

Gays, stop the madness! There's way too many eligible gay men (maybe two you haven't already slept with) out here for us to not have to go dip in the straight pot. The main reason why so many men are on the DL is because we let them be that way. I feel like this, you can't sleep in my bed at night if you can't walk with me during the day! If more of us felt that way this would be a much better world for us all.

The straight pot really isn't a straight pot ...rather a cauldron comprised of those not man enough to OPENLY embrace their sexuality whether it be gay, bi or queer.
For their own sake, the 'Keisha's' need to pull their shit all the way together and take issue with the, dare I say, men they choose to date.
It's the same when men cheat with another woman ...pissed off and ready to throw down with the next bitch when they really need to take it to their spouse and check themselves for being in that position.
...just dumb.
They won't hate 'all women' in the end ...but if they claim to, its nothing more than a self esteem issue, emphasis on the 'self'.
Lack of self esteem will manifest and rear its ugly head in any way possible ...even if it means rolling eyes at every gay man they see.
It's not him boo boo ...its all you.

You are really feeling righteous today! You betta work! I agree totally. However I think you forgot a point. If a gay man successfully "Pulled", "Turned Out", or "Converted" a straight man; was that mean really straight to begin with? I know we shout out the insecurites of the straight women but some of these dudes are weak too! O.k. Im getting off my high horse now. I don't rock the activist role well.

Hell, if a man can take my man, take him. Same goes for the women. Like they say, if he can be taken, he was never yours.

I absolutely have felt that way about being with a straight or bi-sexual man. I'm not too opposed to a bi-sexual man, since you can't totally write him off, cus it's he is bi, enjoying and loving both sexes, the thing that would be a deal breaker is if the love wasn't as equal between sexes.
I write straight men off as a possiblity of a relationship and beyond that I don't really get along with a lot of them or even like a lot of them (very few are worth my platonic liking or admiration or even a little wishful attraction; not heterophobic, jus' had a lot of bad experiences with hetreo men).

For me being with a man that knows who he is and is not ashamed of it or me is who I wanna be with. I'm not gonna settle for less, but the best when it comes to being in a relationship.

When it comes to the converter gays, I'm not into them or their ideas. I feel like they're messing with a man that probably wasn't really gay in the first place and just likes what he feels (cus he's jus' likes sex) and they're more likey causing the straight same-gender loving man who doesn't admit to his precious black woman that he likes to do it with men while having sex and carrying on a complete relationship with his beautiful black woman and putting her in danger of diseases she shouldn't have to becuase he's a promiscuous, horrible and inconsiderate male. (I'm very passionate about how HIV and AIDS affects women of the black community because of disgusting men).

When it comes to a bi-sexual man I expect (just saying it in a perfect world kinda way) that when they're with a guy or a girl, that's where their head is at, no having it both ways at the same time while in a relationship with one sex. I also expect that a bi man will also take the proper precautions necessary in an relationship he's in and when he's changing partners from one relationship to the next.

Straight people too can be horrible with the whole gay thing and the attraction thing. Some straight women get insecure about us wanting their men (like they're always really that hot, anyway?), but some straight men think we're after them too. The insecure, homophobic ones could have sworn you were looking at them and usually want to call attention to the fact that they know you're gay and they disapprove or they think you were looking at them. They do it in public as if they want to embarass you, but it's more like they're tryin' to hollat you, but not be straight up with it. I'm not about and they can keep the talk to themselves. An' the crazy thing is that the ugliest, least attractive guys from personality to looks, are usually the ones actin' up. Damn fools!

Well about the gay men that like to turn straight men out again, I don't condone or approve of their behavior (although out of pure curiousity I wonder how they actually go about turning a real straight man out without straight bait or money). They do give gay men a bad name and make us look like total scandals for all the world to see. I don't like the horrible, evil homosexuals that are like that. They bring down the reputable gays, like yourself and, dare I say, myself.
