Sometimes
by Adam Benjamin Irby
Sometimes I wish I weren't the way I am,
Just didn't care, didn't give a damn.
Sometimes I wish I didn't think so much,
Considering all feelings and possibilities and such.
Sometimes I wish I were like everyone else,
Going with the flow, dealing with the cards dealt.
Sometimes I wish I weren't so right about you being so wrong,
Know what you weren't gonna do before you didn't do it,
And so on, and so on.
Sometimes I wish I were you and you were me,
Then, just then, you may finally see.
I would do my thing and just do me,
And you would be sitting home typing poetry.

Loved the twist at the end. Interesting poem, but remember - what you say you sometimes want is often what doesn't make you...you.
Hmmmm...I hope it's just a poem babe. But, I've been at sometimes a couple of times. Luvs!

Just LOVE IT! Especially the part when you said
"Sometimes I wish I were you and you were me,
Then, just then, you may finally see."
I think that should be my answer when anyone questions why I am the way I am because they will NEVER UNDERSTAND.
that was fuqn beautiful...i almost cried
