Why The F*ck Do We Care So Much? Part 2

Okay, so there's this book out that seems to be making big waves in the gay community. Because I'm not in support or an advocate of this book I won't mention it's name.

What I don't get is why gay people get all wound up every time someone releases a book or a rumor or a story or a YouTube video that someone in the entertainment industry is secretly gay? Why are we the openly gay so fascinated with people that are ashamed of us. Why should we give a fuck about them? Why should we buy a book filled with punk ass, coward ass blind items alluding to whether some of out favorite celebrities are secretly gay? I

think it's the dumbest thing ever and I really don't get it. But at the end of the day as much as it all doesn't make sense, it makes big dollars and as long as it sells this trend will unfortunately never die.

I think ultimately it's because we wish they would stand up and be counted. Where there's smoke there's usually fire and if we've been fans of these people despite what many of us already know about them, we wonder why they don't just come out.

We're desperate for role models

I agree.

I am so tired of this EXPOSING Hip Hop as DL and gay. WHO CARES! IMO, it is very disrespectful to the gays who are actually confident enough to be open.

Why would an "open gay" care about what some pseudo masculine DL guy is doing with his life?

It is late, and it is TIRED, and I am over it all.

I did not support this book either. Especially with the negative things he had to say about feminine gay men.

I think the girls are so interested because they LOVE to find ways to relate to someone of power, celebrity, that is in their same situation, of their same sexual preference.

LOL - well, you know, that's how we are, I guess. It's the cycle of human nature. But it's a difference from the folks around the country. Us mid-western folks could probably care less - but the east coast and west coast folks eat this kinda stuff up.

I know exactly what book your talking about. LOL!

We (people) just LOVE good "tea". LOL!
